Job Description:
The State of Wisconsin is looking for a Senior Web Designer.
Remote:
Candidates be WI residents or willing to relocate to WI at their own expense prior to starting the role.
The Agency prefers that the selected contract resource resides in greater Madison area. Contractor must be available to work onsite in at Madison WI headquarters location at Agency''s request, including consecutive weekdays or extended periods, without reimbursement for travel, lodging, or parking expenses.
This contractor is required to assist with web content migration to the new content management tool Drupal. This project is essential to meeting the needs of the Seamless project identified as part of the ARPA Schedule 8 efforts to make information on the website to make the content is cleaner and more accessible.
This position will be the primary resource for converting the existing external web pages from the native language to a new Agency solution, Drupal. This position will also participate in department planning efforts and direct web page conversion from existing pages.
Hardware/Software Environment:
The Agency uses largly Microsoft operating systems and products for day-to-day operations. Access to Drpal and associated tools will be provided to update web pages.
Top Required Skills & Years of Experience:
· Experience working in Drupal, with a specific focus on content migration to Drupal. (5 yrs)
· Excellent communication skills as this resource may need to work with staff within the agency on the content. (5 yrs)
· Ability to work independently under tight deadlines to meet the delivery needs of the project. (5 yrs)
Nice to Have Skills:
· Experience with user experience web content design (e.g., experiences in best practices for organizing web site materials to improve user experience)
· Previous work experience in large agency/environment
Additional Details:
· The contractor will be required to be available online, be present to meet all workload requirements, and must be available to attend all scheduled meetings during Agency standard working hours of 7.45 am – 4.30 pm Central Time. Agency can make changes or modifications to this arrangement with a reasonable advance notice.
