SAIC is looking for a Lead Satellite SETA for a key role in a very dynamic and innovative space program office in
Chantilly, VA. In this position, you will directly support a Program Office Division Chief in satellite design, development and delivery. You will lead the SETA team supporting the design, development and delivery of satellite units and subsystems. You will coordinate across the other divisions in support of ground development, AI&T and system engineering.
The candidate will work daily on-site with the Government Division Chief to provide advice and guidance on technical and programmatic aspects of the satellite program as well as serving as a mentor to other members of the team.
Responsibilities include: Provide Division chiefs with recommended inputs and courses of action for technical and programmatic topics
Foster communication and alignment among team members to identify challenges and corresponding solutions
Evaluate prime contractor performance at milestone reviews ensuring compliance with technical requirements, and quality of deliverables
Manage SETA team work load and priorities
Run Division staff meeting
Qualifications Required: Strong satellite systems engineering background
Major government acquisition program experience
Able to communicate complex technical information clearly
Clearance: Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph
Education: Bachelor's Degree and 20 years of experience or Master's Degree and 15 years of experience
Desired: Excellent interpersonal, leadership, team building and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to be effective in a government/contractor team environment
