Job Description:

Our client is seeking an Application Developer to support the development of a new Inspections application. The application will allow field inspectors to collect agricultural inspection data through online forms, save the information to a SQL database, and generate and store PDF documents.

The existing inspections system is scheduled to be decommissioned in Spring 2027, and the replacement application is currently being developed in-house. Our client is looking for a beginner- to intermediate-level developer with hands-on experience in JavaScript and SQL to help support this effort.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of this position will be converting approximately 70 existing fillable PDF inspection documents into interactive HTML forms that inspectors can use for field data collection.

Responsibilities include:

  • Convert existing fillable PDF inspection documents into interactive HTML forms.
  • Use JavaScript to develop functionality that captures inspector input and saves data to a SQL database.
  • Work with Jinja templates to compile inspection data into newly generated PDF documents.
  • Develop and maintain HTML and CSS used within the inspection forms.
  • Provide additional JavaScript development support as needed to help keep the project on schedule.
  • Collaborate with the internal development team throughout the application development process.

Required Skills

Candidates should have beginner- to intermediate-level experience with:

  • JavaScript
  • SQL - T-SQL preferred, but experience with other SQL environments is acceptable
  • HTML
  • CSS

Preferred Skills

The following experience is a plus but can be learned on the job:

  • Python
  • Docker
  • Jinja
  • Git
  • GitHub

Duration

9 months

Location & Schedule

On-site: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

A flexible work schedule may be available.
