DESCRIPTION
We are hiring Travel Cable Technicians to support data center business across the United States. This position will work in a commercial data center environment both indoors and outdoors. You will train for 6 months at the Altoona, IA location then be assigned to travel and deploy data center infrastructure at various sites. Travel and Lodging are paid for, per diem is also awarded during travel.
DUTIES

• Locate cabling as assigned.
• Pull cable to include Cat and Fiber lines through sleeves.
• Build and deploy server racks.
• Punchdown and terminate lines.
• Learn color codes.
• Mount and install boards, connections, racks, patch panels, and other hardware.
• Drop cable down a wall using fish tape or other method.
• Route cable through modular furniture.
• Install work area outlet for floors, modular furniture, mount boxes and eliminators.
• Perform pre-termination procedures to organize, form, dress cables and determine length, slack, and labels.
• Suspend and support cable correctly with cable tray, J-hooks, D-rings, Bridal rings, and Trapeze.
• Perform fire-stopping procedures, as assigned.

ADDITIONAL

• 6+ months experience in construction, low voltage, cabling, technician, or general laborer
• Lift up to 100+lbs
• Work at heights
• Work is both indoor and outdoor
• HS Diploma or GED equivalent

SHIFT & SCHEDULE

• 7am-7pm Monday-Saturday
• 22/hr
• Will begin travel once fully trained

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
