Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to architect, automate, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure and CI/CD platforms. This role requires deep expertise in AWS, GitLab CI/CD, and Datadog, along with strong ownership of system reliability, performance, and security in production environments.

Key Responsibilities

Design, architect, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure at scale
Build, optimize, and own CI/CD pipelines using GitLab
Implement advanced monitoring, alerting, and observability using Datadog
Drive automation across infrastructure provisioning and deployments
Ensure system reliability, high availability, and disaster recovery
Partner with engineering teams to improve deployment speed and stability
Lead root cause analysis for production incidents and implement fixes
Establish DevOps best practices, standards, and documentation
Mentor junior DevOps engineers and provide technical leadership
Optimize cloud cost, performance, and security posture

Required Skills & Qualifications

8 10 years of hands-on experience in DevOps / Cloud Engineering
Strong expertise in AWS (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, ECS/EKS)
Deep experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and automation
Strong hands-on knowledge of Datadog (APM, logs, dashboards, alerts)
Experience with Docker and container-based deployments
Proficiency in Linux/Unix systems
Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar)
Experience with production-grade systems and high-traffic environments

Preferred Qualifications

Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
Experience with Kubernetes
Knowledge of security, compliance, and DevSecOps practices
Exposure to multi-account AWS architecture
AWS certifications (Associate / Professional) are a plus
