Axiom Developer - Need local to NJ

Job Title: Axiom Developer
Location: Jersey City, NJ
Duration:12 Months Contract

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications for Axiom solutions.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy Axiom applications/modules to meet business needs and regulatory requirements.
• Customize and configure Axiom software to optimize performance and usability.
• Integrate Axiom applications with existing systems and databases to ensure seamless data flow.
• Develop and maintain documentation, including technical specifications, user guides, and operational procedures.
• Conduct regular system maintenance and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues promptly.
• Stay updated with Axiom software updates, patches, and new features, and implement them as necessary.
• Provide training and support to end-users on Axiom applications and functionalities.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors for system enhancements and upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, such as BCBS 239, Basel III, Dodd-Frank, and other financial reporting requirements.
• Axiom Component Design: Configure and develop core Axiom ControllerView objects including Data Sources, Data Models, Shorthands, Portfolios, Aggregations, and Tabular/Free Form Reports.
• ETL & Data Integration: Build and review PL/SQL code, SQL queries, and ETL jobs to manage end-to-end data flows from databases to Axiom.
• Automation & Scheduling: Automate workflow schedules using tools like Automic Scheduler and write Unix/Linux shell scripts. [, ,
• Testing & Support: Conduct unit testing, coordinate UAT (User Acceptance Testing), and perform performance tuning within the database and Axiom environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Platform Experience: Hands-on development experience with Axiom ControllerView.
• Database & Scripting: Strong proficiency in Oracle Database, SQL, PL/SQL, and Unix/Linux scripting.
• Financial Domain Knowledge: Understanding of banking regulations, risk management, and regulatory taxonomy.
• Soft Skills: Ability to work in Agile/Scrum methodologies, paired with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
