Position: Lead Data Engineer
Location: Parsippany, NJ 07054 (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire (C2H)
Important Notes:
  • We are looking for candidates with strong hands-on experience in Python, Snowflake, and SQL.
  • Please submit candidates with a core Data Engineering background. Candidates whose experience is primarily focused on Big Data are not a fit for this role.
  • Before submitting any candidate, please ensure they are comfortable attending the 3rd round of the interview in person at the client's office in Parsippany, NJ.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
  • Develop, manage, organize, store, and analyze enterprise data and data systems.
  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle for Snowflake solutions, including planning, development, testing, and QA.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to design and implement scalable data solutions.
  • Ensure platform performance, availability, and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement preventive measures.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Required Skills:
  • 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake.
  • Strong expertise in SQL and Python.
  • Experience building and maintaining data pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with Spark/Scala.
  • Knowledge of Airflow and/or Informatica.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, and Jira.
