Genesis10 is currently seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer for a contract position with a Global Medical Technology Company located in San Diego, CA. Pay Rate: $40.00-$42.00 per hour depending on skill level and experience. This role will join a dynamic and collaborative multi-disciplined engineering team that supports the organization by establishing pilot manufacturing lines for new product development. The ideal candidate will be crucial in prototyping, evaluating, and validating product designs by designing and optimizing processes for new equipment within a regulated quality system.
Responsibilities: - Design, document and optimize new manufacturing process/assembly steps and operating procedures for new stations, equipment, and processes within a regulated quality system
- Utilize Solidworks/CAD to design and develop fixtures and equipment components required to meet process goals from concept to implementation
- Plan and perform Design of Experiments (DOE) to characterize and determine optimal processing methods
- Create and release equipment specifications and drawings, establish calibration and preventative maintenance requirements, and manufacturing or test procedures
- Develop mechanical or dimensional measurement methods using GR&R/MSA methodology
- Use statistical software for data analysis such as basic data presentation, t-test, ANOVA, DOE, and GR&R
- Identify process risks and implement mitigations through standard methods such as pFMEA
- Effectively communicate complex information and present findings to diverse technical and non-technical audiences
Requirements: - Demonstrate hands-on understanding of manufacturing processes and its interaction with the product design
- Previous experience with working in a manufacturing or mechanical lab environment
- Documentation skills on technical information such as manufacturing procedures, equipment specifications, CAD drawing and experimentation results
- A proactive, team-oriented mindset to willingly take on diverse tasks to ensure project success
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and personal interaction skills
