Wordpress Developer We are a marketing agency seeking an experienced WordPress developer who can take on full website builds when our internal team reaches capacity. You must be able to work independently, follow our proven website production process, and build inside our proprietary WordPress-based platform, which is built around a custom block and pattern system (Gutenberg).
You will be responsible for delivering complete sites end to end: homepage, service pages, location pages, blog templates, and key internal pages. All work is done using our existing pattern library and block system, with no need to design from scratch.
You will assemble layouts, apply our spacing and structure standards, ensure full mobile responsiveness, configure forms and tracking, implement basic on-page SEO structure, and optimize for performance (including Core Web Vitals, caching, and compression).
You will also participate in development check-in meetings and provide weekly progress updates to our internal customer success team. Typical build timelines range from six to ten weeks depending on scope, and deadlines must be met consistently.
You should have at least five years of professional WordPress experience, strong skills working with the block editor and component or pattern-based builds, and a solid understanding of layout, spacing, typography, and UX for local service business websites.
You must be comfortable working inside a predefined system with established naming conventions and build methods, able to deliver full builds without supervision, and able to communicate clearly in English. To apply, please provide three to five WordPress sites you personally built, confirm that you can work within a structured process and existing pattern library, indicate your typical timeline for a full build, share your availability for overflow work, and confirm that you can participate in development meetings and provide weekly progress updates.
