Network Engineer IV

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is looking for a local Network Engineer IV for an enterprise client of ours in Redmond, WA.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide operational network support for assigned test venues (EGSE, Flatsat, PIT, Carwash)
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex networking issues across highly available environments
* Support and improve network configurations, routing, and access controls
* Reduce operational escalations by stabilizing test venue ownership and support coverage
* Identify process gaps and lead improvements to existing network operations and workflows
* Contribute to automation and scripting efforts to improve efficiency and consistency
* Work hands-on in lab environments to test, validate, and troubleshoot network hardware
* Collaborate closely with other engineers to support readiness initiatives and long-term improvements

REQUIREMENTS:
* 3-5 years of professional networking experience
* 2+ years of experience with major internet routing protocols across network layers 1-4
* 2+ years of experience working in Linux/Unix environments
* Hands-on experience with one or more major networking platforms: Cisco, Juniper, Alcatel-Lucent, Arista, Brocade, Extreme, Citrix, F5, Fortinet, Palo Alto
* Experience working in highly available, operationally critical networks
* Knowledge of network hardware and packet forwarding architectures
* Experience working in lab environments
* Experience with IPv4/IPv6 design and implementations

Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking and IP routing, including:
* IP, TCP, OSPF, BGP
* Firewalls, ACLs
* DNS, DHCP, IPAM

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
