Genesis10 is currently seeking a Spark Developer - Hybrid for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role is part of a production support and DevOps team, interacting with internal and external technology groups. The ideal candidate will be a self-managing individual who can proactively troubleshoot issues, identify resolutions, and find opportunities for optimization and automation in a production support environment. This position requires a hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days per week onsite.
Responsibilities: - Work as part of a production support and DevOps team
- Interact with internal and external technology, production support, and middleware teams
- Work closely with the business team
- Proactively troubleshoot and resolve production issues independently
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation
Requirements: - Mid to senior level Software Engineer with strong experience in a Platform / Production Support / DevOps team
- Experience in ETL, Big Data (Hadoop), and SQL
- Good knowledge of Spark, Unix, data warehousing, scheduling tools, and scripting
- Must have strong experience in Spark development, performance optimization, and troubleshooting
- Strong data and code analysis skills for troubleshooting data quality and root causes
Desired skills: - Comfortable working with all levels of management
- Experience bringing attention to risks before they become issues
- Experience working in Agile teams
- Good understanding of Bitbucket, Gradle, Jenkins, Ansible, and CI/CD pipeline
Pay range: $55.07 - $63.07 per hour
