Key Responsibilities
· Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software applications using C++ in a Linux environment.
· Develop software solutions for vehicle systems, displays, telematics platforms, and connected products.
· Work closely with systems, hardware, and software engineering teams to define requirements and implement new features.
· Debug and troubleshoot software issues across embedded hardware platforms.
· Develop and integrate communication interfaces and protocols.
· Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, validation, and deployment.
· Support software integration, verification, and performance optimization activities.
· Document software designs, test procedures, and technical implementation details.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
· 3+ years of industry experience in embedded software development (entry level to 5 years considered).
· Strong C++ development experience.
· Experience developing applications in an Embedded Linux environment.
· Experience working with vehicle communication protocols such as J1939, CAN, or similar communication protocols.
· Experience debugging and troubleshooting embedded systems.
· Familiarity with software version control tools and development best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience within the telematics industry.
· Experience developing software for display systems or HMI applications.
· Automotive, off-highway vehicle, or heavy equipment industry experience.
· Knowledge of embedded networking and communications technologies.
