Location: Malvern, PA
Description: Our large, FINTECH client is currently seeking a Python Developer (Contract/Hybrid) to work in Malvern, PA.
Hiring Manager Notes:
*Development will be key to this role.
*Python and API development will be the biggest key. This team works on the Data Identification team
*Pyspark and SQL will be needed as well for the data engineering function of this role.
*More of a dev role than data engineering.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Developer with a strong background in requirements gathering, stakeholder management, storytelling and system integration
Previous experience with Data Privacy or Data Discovery preferred. Knowledge of data protection regulations and compliance requirements.
Experience with relational/non relational DB (Postgres, S3, Dynamo, etc.), shell scripting, python, java, API development and lambdas. Experience with Github is needed. Broader based AWS experience is a plus as is a familiarity with security concepts. If there is experience with BI platforms (Tableau, PowerBI) that would also be a plus.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, and collaborate effectively with teams and clients.
Willingness to learn new data management platforms
Minimum of eight years data analytics, programming, database administration, or data management experience.
Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.
Data Engineer: Python, AWS (S3, Redshift, Aurora, Athena, Glue), Github, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Agile, Growth mindset, Quick learner, Adobe, Kore
Data Engineer: Nice to have: DPX blueprint process, Dremio, Dell Boomi, Attunity
