Position Overview

Cole Engineering Services is seeking highly motivated candidates to join a team in testing new software and hardware baselines for a next-generation cyber training environment for the US Army in collaboration with the Joint Cyber community.

Responsibilities

  • Candidates will support the design and creation of hardware/software test cases, scenarios, and procedures that incorporates the use of a variety of software applications and tools.
  • Performs unit testing, configuration item and system level tests, and support verification/validation testing as required.
  • Develops test plans and test reports for all levels of testing performed.
  • Works closely with the customer, development staff and systems engineers to thoroughly understand the system requirements and software implementation.
  • Will be required to work with a team of Engineers from a diverse background of expertise.

Required Experience/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as electrical engineering, computer science, information technology, systems or software engineering from an accredited college or university. May substitute relevant military or work experience in lieu of degree.
  • Experience testing of web based applications in a rapidly changing and evolving environment.
  • Must be able to take initiative, communicate with team members, and identify and resolve potential issues.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written are required.

Preferred Experience/Qualifications

  • Cyber Operations Training
  • DevOps experience.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence and Zephyr.
  • Hardware troubleshooting and fault diagnosis.
  • Experience with virtualization.
  • Familiar with Linux.
  • An active clearance is preferred but not required.

Special Requirements/Security Clearance

Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U. S. Citizenship status with an ACTIVE SECRET to TOP SECRET security clearance. Security Clearance requirements will be specified in the Government's Task Order.
