Continuous Improvement Engineer:
On behalf of our manufacturing client, Procom is searching for a Continuous Improvement Engineer for a permanent role. This position is an onsite position at our client's Beloit, WI office, with travel required.
Continuous Improvement Engineer - Job Description:
The Continuous Improvement Engineer will work across the six metal manufacturing businesses within the clients portfolio to identify and implement opportunities that improve safety, quality, delivery, lead times, and cost. This is a hands-on manufacturing engineering position focused on solving process problems, improving methods, and eliminating waste to enhance manufacturing operations.
Continuous Improvement Engineer - Responsibilities:
Identify and implement opportunities to improve productivity, quality, cost, safety, capacity, and delivery.
Analyze manufacturing processes, production data, and material flow to identify improvement opportunities.
Develop and implement improved manufacturing processes, methods, and work sequences.
Work directly with operators, supervisors, engineers, and plant leadership to develop practical solutions.
Establish appropriate measurements and verify that implemented improvements produce the expected results.
Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
Evaluate opportunities to improve manufacturing performance through automation and other technologies.
Continuous Improvement Engineer - Mandatory Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
Significant experience in metal manufacturing and process engineering.
Extensive practical knowledge of metal-cutting processes.
Demonstrated experience improving manufacturing processes.
Strong understanding of machining fundamentals.
Excellent ability to read and interpret complex manufacturing drawings.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Continuous Improvement Engineer - Nice-to-Have Skills:
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
Experience implementing automation or advanced manufacturing technologies.
Experience with CNC machining and programming.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
Experience with SolidWorks or equivalent design software.
Continuous Improvement Engineer - Assignment Length:
This is a permanent position.
