Tech PM Data & Technology || Hybrid at Raritan, NJ || Contract
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager (Tech PM) to support the Data team and drive multiple strategic technology initiatives.
The role requires a good understanding of enterprise data, technology delivery, integrations, data platforms, and emerging technologies, combined with strong program management, executive communication, and stakeholder management skills.
This is not a traditional PMO role focused primarily on schedules and status tracking. The individual should be technically conversant, highly proactive, and capable of working closely with Data leadership, technical teams, and business stakeholders to bring structure and execution discipline across multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate multiple Data and Technology initiatives across the organization.
- Work closely with Data leadership to manage priorities, milestones, dependencies, risks, decisions, and actions.
- Coordinate across data engineers, architects, application teams, infrastructure, security, and business stakeholders.
- Manage cross-functional dependencies and proactively drive resolution of risks and blockers.
- Understand technical discussions and translate key issues and implications into clear business and leadership messages.
- Consolidate information across multiple workstreams and provide clear visibility into overall program status and priorities.
- Support Data, Analytics, automation, and AI-related initiatives as required.
- Facilitate working sessions and ensure decisions, actions, owners, and timelines are clearly established and followed through.
- Develop executive presentations, program updates, decision papers, and leadership communications.
- Establish effective program governance without creating unnecessary administrative overhead.
- Serve as a bridge between Data leadership, business stakeholders, and technical delivery teams.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of experience in technology delivery, technical project management, or program management.
- Strong experience managing Data, Analytics, Enterprise Applications, Cloud, or other complex technology programs.
- Good understanding of enterprise data concepts, data platforms, integrations, APIs, and technology architecture.
- Ability to effectively engage with technical teams including data engineers, architects, developers, infrastructure, and security teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple interconnected technology workstreams.
- Strong understanding of delivery dependencies, risks, issues, and decision management.
- Excellent executive communication and presentation skills.
- Strong experience developing leadership-level presentations and concise executive updates.
- Ability to synthesize complex technical information into clear, actionable messages.
- Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to AI, Generative AI, automation, or emerging technology initiatives is preferred.
- Experience with enterprise Data and Analytics transformation programs.
- Experience within Life Sciences, MedTech, Healthcare, or another highly regulated industry is preferred.
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise transformation or technology transition programs.
- Exposure to business functions such as Supply Chain, Finance, R&D, Product, or Commercial.
- Experience working directly with senior technology and business leaders.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a strong Technical PM with a solid Data and Technology foundation, rather than a pure functional Project Manager.
The individual should be technically conversant enough to work effectively with engineering and architecture teams while also being able to translate complex discussions into clear priorities, risks, decisions, and actions for leadership.
Experience with AI initiatives would be valuable, but deep hands-on AI development expertise is not required.
Most importantly, the person should be proactive, structured, comfortable working with senior stakeholders, and capable of driving multiple initiatives with limited supervision.
Onsite Requirement
The individual must be based within commuting distance of Raritan, New Jersey, with an expectation of working from the office at least 3 days per week.
