Summary
Job Title: Embedded Software Validation Engineer (Automotive)
Job Location: Palo Alto, CA - Onsite
Duration: 24+ months - Long-term assignment
- Test engineers need to execute a test plan, but they need to work with other (current need) engineer to verify the fixes, fix them, and move on so it s an expansive task.
- Need to get into the details to both test/validate, as well as help resolve the problem.
- Also, at the system/vehicle level, they need someone to ingest requirements and create robust test plans which the Test Engineer (above, would then go and validate).
- 7+ years of recent hardware/software/embedded testing experience.
- 3+ years of recent and dedicated automotive testing experience.
- Substantial experience writing and executing test cases.
- Experience going past the step of logging the bug in Jira then actually do the debugging and assisting engineering teams with design and implementing a fix.
- Experience with Vector, Intrepid or other similar testing tools.
- System or vehicle level
- Window actuators, switches, speed controllers, chip, code etc. Basically, breaking the vehicle up into systems.
- This team runs tests on that system.
- 7+ years of hardware/software/embedded testing experience.
- 3+ years of recent and dedicated automotive testing experience.
- Substantial experience writing and executing test cases.
- Experience going past the step of logging the bug in Jira then actually do the debugging and assisting engineering teams with design and implementing a fix.
- Experience with Vector, Intrepid or other similar testing tools.
- Component level:
- Taking individual components out of the system to test them.
- Testing individual components looking for the bugs.
- 7+ years of hardware/software/embedded testing experience.
- 3+ years of recent and dedicated automotive testing experience.
- Proficient in writing Python test scripts.
