Luna Data Solutions has an immediate long-term contract position opening for a Sr. Oracle Spatial Developer/DBA resource with our public sector industry client located in Austin, TX. *This resource will work 100% onsite.
Role: Sr. Oracle Spatial Developer/DBA
Role Description:
Th Sr. Database Administrator will work as part of a Scrum Team.
Key Activities/Responsibilities:
- Complete user stories, bugs and technical debt
- Review, update and develop PL/SQL including LRS and other Oracle Spatial operations.
- Integrate PL/SQL code into Azure DevOps code repository.
- Evaluate user requests for new data elements, new features and provide any necessary technical assistance.
- Perform data modeling, prototyping, and maintain data dictionary ensuring uniformity of definitions and standards.
- Monitor database performance and recommend efficiency improvements.
- Help resolve database-related security risks and vulnerabilities.
- Assist with required reporting as established by the client.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 8 years of experience with the following:
- Oracle Spatial (dynamic segmentation, LRS, SDO).
- Oracle PL/SQL.
- Version control systems (Azure DevOps, GIT).
- SQL Developer (or other like IDEs).
- Esri ArcSDE (integration with Oracle Spatial).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Azure DevOps (project management, user stories/bugs/test cases, etc.)
- Eclipse
- Agile methodology
