Actimize Backend Developer (AIS, ActimizeWatch) - Dallas Onsite - 10+ yrs

An Actimize backend developer builds and maintains the server-side components of financial crime detection systems.

• Designing and developing data pipelines that feed transaction data into Actimize
• Building custom detection models and rules within the Actimize platform
• Integrating Actimize with core banking systems, data warehouses, and third-party APIs
• Developing alert and case management workflows
• Performance tuning for high-volume, real-time transaction processing
• Writing and maintaining ETL processes for AML, fraud, and compliance data

Core Technical Skills Required

Programming Languages:

• Java primary language for Actimize customization and integrations
• SQL / PL-SQL heavy database work (Oracle is very common)
• Python scripting, data processing, ML model integration
• Shell scripting automation and deployments

Actimize-Specific Knowledge:

• Actimize Designer the IDE for building detection logic and workflows
• AIS (Actimize Intelligence Server) core processing engine
• RCM (Risk Case Manager) case management configuration
• ActimizeWatch cloud monitoring and analytics
• SAM (Suspicious Activity Monitoring) AML module customization
• WLF (Watch List Filtering) sanctions screening configuration

Databases:

• Oracle DB most Actimize deployments use Oracle heavily
• SQL Server
• PostgreSQL
• Knowledge of stored procedures, indexing, query optimization

Middleware & Integration:

• MQ (IBM MQ / Kafka) message queuing for real-time data feeds
• REST / SOAP APIs integrating with core banking systems
• XML / JSON data formats used in Actimize messaging
• ETL tools Informatica, DataStage, or custom pipelines

Infrastructure & DevOps:

• Linux/Unix most Actimize servers run on Linux
• WebLogic / JBoss application servers
• Git / SVN version control
• Jenkins / CI-CD pipelines
• Docker / Kubernetes in modern cloud deployments
