Role Summary
The Alteryx Migration Developer will be responsible for migrating Alteryx workflows, assets, and schedules from a source Alteryx environment (Designer + Server / Alteryx One workspace) to a target Alteryx environment. The role includes assessment, migration, validation, and stabilization while ensuring data accuracy, security, and minimal disruption to business users.
Key Responsibilities
Alteryx Migration & Deployment
Migrate Alteryx workflows (. yxmd, .yxmc, . yxwz), analytic apps, macros, and schedules between Alteryx environments
Support migrations across:
• Alteryx Server → Alteryx Server
• Alteryx Server →→ Alteryx One (Cloud)
• Site-to-site or workspace-to-workspace migrations
Reconfigure workflows to align with target environment standards and connectivity
Data Sources & Credentials
Re-point workflows to new data sources (databases, schemas, servers, file locations)
Migrate and reconfigure credentials using DCM (Data Connection Manager) where applicable
• Validate authentication methods (service accounts, OAuth, SSO, secrets vaults)
• Ensure compliance with enterprise security and data access policies
