Position: Recruitment Operations & Technical Strategist

Location: Online (Locals preferred)

Duration: 12+ Months
Job Description: Seeking an experienced Recruitment Operations & Technical Strategist to support Talent Acquisition, Workday compliance, recruitment process optimization, reporting, and HR systems management. You'll act as a subject matter expert to strengthen leadership communication, optimize centralized HR processes, ensure accurate use of Workday, Smartsheet, SharePoint, and MS Teams, and drive efficient hiring, onboarding, and talent management. The role includes SOP development, recruitment workflow management, system cleanup, and enhanced reporting to meet organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, update, and manage HR Standard Operating Procedures across Talent Acquisition, Class & Compensation, Salary Administration, and related HR functions
  • Manage Workday HCM: requisition management, I-9 compliance, reporting, and data cleanup
  • Leverage Smartsheet and SharePoint for intake forms, workspaces, and centralized HR documentation
  • Support Talent Acquisition teams: workload management, recruitment activities, SLA tracking, and cross-functional alignment
  • Act as primary contact with state HR systems or regulatory entities to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Produce and optimize reports across Workday, Smartsheet, and integrated HR/payroll systems; advise leaders on data usage
  • Architect or redesign internal communication systems and process documentation for centralized HR models
  • Lead project management activities: milestone planning, stakeholder alignment, executive engagement, RAID tracking
  • Collaborate with HR leaders, SMEs, and cross-functional teams; communicate effectively with senior leadership

Required / Desired Skills

  • Demonstrated experience with Workday HCM (5+ years)
  • Comprehensive HR practices, compliance, and industry best practices (5+ years)
  • Ten years of progressive HR processes and procedures experience, especially in Talent Acquisition
  • Public sector experience (highly desired, 5+ years)
  • Understanding of state organizational management and roles vs. user roles (5+ years)
  • Cross-functional collaboration with HR leaders, Workday Delivery Team, etc. (5+ years)
  • Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and solutioning (6+ years)
