Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager – Data & ETL Delivery to lead complex enterprise data engineering and ETL modernization initiatives. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical expertise in IBM DataStage, SQL, ServiceNow, and cloud data platforms, combined with exceptional project delivery, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing enterprise-scale data modernization programs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering high-quality data solutions in regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of enterprise data engineering and ETL modernization programs, managing scope, schedules, risks, dependencies, budgets, and stakeholder expectations.
• Coordinate IBM DataStage migration initiatives, working closely with ETL developers, architects, cloud engineers, and business stakeholders.
• Own the ServiceNow ticket lifecycle, including intake, prioritization, change management, incident tracking, reporting, and workflow governance.
• Utilize advanced SQL skills to validate data, support testing activities, investigate data issues, and ensure delivery quality.
• Prepare executive dashboards, project plans, RAID logs, status reports, and governance documentation.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies, steering committee meetings, project reviews, and executive governance sessions.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery.
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to align project execution with organizational objectives.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience delivering IBM DataStage and enterprise data engineering solutions.
• Minimum 5 years of experience leading technical projects or enterprise programs.
• Strong technical expertise in:
  • IBM DataStage
  • SQL
  • ETL Development & Delivery
  • Data Warehousing
  • ServiceNow
• Experience using project management tools such as:
  • Jira
  • Confluence
  • Microsoft Project
• Demonstrated success managing enterprise data modernization initiatives involving cloud platforms such as Snowflake or AWS.
• Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and project delivery skills.
• Experience working within mortgage, financial services, or other regulated enterprise environments.
• Local to McLean, VA and available for onsite work.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading enterprise-scale cloud migration or legacy data modernization programs.
