Insurance Accounting Manager

Summary

My client is a family owned insurer that writes surety, warranty, and surplus lines businesses.

They are seeking an Accounting Manager with a background in Property and Casualty insurance to join their team. The role reports directly into the CFO and will play a critical role in financial reporting, statutory compliance and accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of accounting experience within a P & C insurance company.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of accounting experiencce within a P&C insurance company and a solid understanding of statutory accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with SAP

Assist with the preparation and filing of statutory financial statements including NAIC Filings

Support the annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors and regulators

Perform account reconciliations and detailed variance analyses

Assist with premium, loss and expense analyes
