Role and Responsibilities- Perform semiconductor engineering research, design, development, and testing for firm products and devices in conjunction with product development for the electronic communications industry.
- Assist in developing performance models and triaging to fix performance-related issues for a highly efficient mobile GPU.
- Assist in developing performance models and correlating/validating them for performance tracking and projection.
- Collaborate with architecture, SW, and design teams to understand the architecture and micro-architecture of the GPU and its units.
- Identify potential architecture, micro-architecture, and implementation optimizations to improve the performance of the GPU and its units.
- Assist in troubleshooting and fixing performance-related issues.
- Contribute towards current and future plans strategy.
- May work from home on a hybrid schedule from a commutable distance of the San Jose office.
Skills and QualificationsMinimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field plus completion of a graduate level course, research project, or internship involving the following: GPU and computer architecture and micro-architecture concepts; Programming (C, C++) and/or scripting skills (Python); Power/performance trade-offs; VLSI concepts, HW design. Employer will accept skills gained through work experience or in pursuit of university-level degree via coursework, projects, or internships. Skills may be gained concurrently.
Total RewardsAt Samsung - SARC/ACL, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $136,625.00 - $174,000.00. Your actual base pay will depend on variables that may include your education skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. This is an exempt position, which is not eligible for overtime pay under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

In addition, regular full-time employees (salaried or hourly) are eligible for MBO bonus compensation, based on company, division, and individual performance.
