Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Product Owner with close to 15 years of experience in Data Visualization, Data Warehousing, Data Modeling, and Data Governance. The ideal candidate will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and data engineering teams, owning the end-to-end lifecycle of enterprise data products and analytics solutions.

This role requires a strong product ownership mindset, deep understanding of modern data platforms, and the ability to drive strategic data initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own the data product vision, roadmap, and strategy aligned with business objectives.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and prioritize data & analytics requirements.

• Work closely with data engineers, BI developers, and architects to deliver scalable data solutions.

• Drive development and enhancement of enterprise data warehouse (EDW) and data marts.

• Oversee data modeling (conceptual, logical, and physical models).

• Lead data governance initiatives including data quality, metadata management, lineage, and compliance.

• Define KPIs and success metrics for data products.

• Manage and prioritize product backlog; participate in Agile ceremonies.

• Ensure best practices in data visualization and storytelling.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including IT, Analytics, and Business Operations.

• Provide leadership and mentorship to data teams.

Required Skills & Experience

• 12 15+ years of overall IT experience with strong focus on data & analytics.

• 5+ years of experience in a Product Owner / Data Product Owner role.

• Strong expertise in:

• Data Warehousing concepts (Star Schema, Snowflake, ETL/ELT)

• Data Modeling tools & methodologies

• Data Governance frameworks and implementation

• BI & Data Visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.)

• Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).

• Hands-on understanding of SQL and modern data architecture.

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Ability to translate complex data requirements into clear user stories.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in large enterprise data transformation programs.

• Exposure to Master Data Management (MDM).

• Knowledge of data security, compliance, and regulatory standards.

• Certification in Product Management or Agile (CSPO/SAFe PO preferred).

• Experience with modern data stack (Snowflake, Databricks, etc.) is a plus.
