Our challenge This job is responsible for defining an architectural vision and solution that supports the strategic outcomes of the Payments ' Products and Services. Key responsibilities include defining the target operating environment, designing for client resiliency, assisting with solution design, and defining non-functional requirements. Job expectations include working with stakeholders and service providers aligned to the Business' strategic objectives, evaluating the impact of strategic design decisions, and contributing to the architecture roadmap.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Jersey City, NJ is $130k - $140k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role Responsibilities: - Provide thought leadership on emerging payment technologies, regulatory requirements (ISO 20022, PCI DSS, etc.), and innovation opportunities (e.g., real-time payments, cross-border payment hubs, blockchain).
- Lead and mentor a team of platform architects and engineers, fostering a collaborative environment to deliver innovative solutions.
- Contributes to the creation of the architecture roadmap of defined domains (Business, Application, Data, and Technology) in support of the product roadmap and the development of best practices including standardized templates.
- Facilitates solution driven discussions, leads the design of complex architectures, and finds creative solutions through knowledge of domain, practical experiments, and proof of concepts while ensuring architecture is flexible, modular, and adaptable.
- Supports the team as needed to select the technology stack required for solutions and helps select preferred technology products.
- Performs design and code reviews to ensure all non-functional requirements are sufficiently met (for example, security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability.
- Manages relationships with business and technology leaders and vendors for technical products and creates an inclusive and healthy working environment to resolve organizational impediments and blockers.
- Design and develop scalable, high-performance data architectures leveraging Hadoop and Teradata platforms to meet business intelligence and analytics requirements.
- Oversee the end-to-end implementation of platform solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and adherence to best practices.
- Conduct performance tuning and optimization of data platforms to ensure efficient data processing and retrieval.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously evolve the data architecture strategy.
Requirements: - Hands-on experience in payments domain including:
- Corporate payments, payment processing, or payment hub implementations.
- Acquiring and/or issuing systems architecture.
- Payment gateway design and integration.
- Multi-currency, cross-border, or real-time payment solutions
- Ability to work across lines of business and application executives to help drive platform objectives and vision.
- Experience in working with executive sponsors, working across LOBs, etc.
- 5+ years of technical solutions experience including 3+ years in relevant enterprise data platforms and processing on Hadoop, Teradata, and Data Transformation Products
- Experience in multiple programming disciplines including Java, Python, and Scripting Languages.
- Deep understanding Virtualize and Containerized platforms: Openshift, Kubernetes, docker, VMware.
- Understanding of Network and Security principals, Creating designs that adhere to Security Baselines.
- Understanding of Cloud architectures including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, compute, storage, network, and security solutions that run on large Cloud service providers (Azure, Google, AWS).
- Ability to work independently and lead a project team.
- BS in Computer Science, information Technology or related field OR Equivalent Experience.
