About the Opportunity A leading investment firm combining capital, innovation, and engineering is building world-class analytics capabilities that turn data into clear, actionable intelligence. We’re looking for a BI Developer who blends strong technical skills with a sharp eye for storytelling and an AI-forward mindset.
This role goes far beyond traditional reporting. You’ll design polished, self-service Power BI solutions while actively leveraging Power BI’s AI features, Microsoft Copilot, Power Automate automation, and Microsoft Fabric to make insights smarter, faster, and more impactful across the organization.
What You’ll Build & Own
- Design, develop, and maintain intuitive, high-performance Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models that business users actually love to use
- Build robust data models using Power Query (M) and advanced DAX — including calculated columns, measures, time intelligence, and complex relationships
- Create Power Automate flows that automate report distribution, data refresh alerts, conditional notifications to Teams or email, and approval workflows triggered by live Power BI data
- Activate Power BI’s AI-powered analytics — Smart Narratives, Anomaly Detection, Key Influencers, Decomposition Trees, and natural language Q&A — to surface insights that go beyond static charts
- Write clean, intermediate SQL against Snowflake, SQL Server, and Azure Synapse to prepare data for Power BI datasets
- Leverage Microsoft Fabric Lakehouses and Warehouses as modern, scalable data sources for your semantic models
- Manage the full Power BI Service lifecycle: workspaces, row-level security (RLS), scheduled refresh, deployment pipelines, and content governance
- Partner closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into elegant, decision-ready solutions — and deliver training that drives adoption
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of hands-on Power BI development with a strong portfolio of business-facing analytical solutions
- Advanced proficiency in DAX (measures, calculated tables, time intelligence) and Power Query (M)
- Experience building Power Automate flows connected to Power BI data alerts and notifications
- Familiarity with Power BI’s AI visuals and natural language capabilities, plus genuine enthusiasm for applying AI to make dashboards more insightful and self-service
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouses or Warehouses as Power BI data sources)
- Strong data visualization design sense — you know which chart tells the story best and how to avoid misleading visuals
- Solid experience in the Power BI Service (workspaces, RLS, deployment pipelines, scheduled refresh)
- Automation-first mindset — you see repetitive tasks as opportunities to eliminate or optimize
- Microsoft certification such as PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst) is a strong plus
Why This Role Stands Out
- Real influence on how leaders across the firm consume and act on data
- Opportunity to pioneer AI-powered and automated BI capabilities in a production environment
- Work with modern tools — Microsoft Fabric, Power BI Copilot, and advanced AI visuals — not just legacy reporting
- Collaborative, high-energy culture that values Integrity, Ability, and Energy
- Competitive compensation, excellent benefits, professional development, and a platform to meaningfully shape enterprise analytics transformation
If you’re a Power BI expert who loves turning complex data into beautiful, actionable stories — and you’re excited to bring AI, automation, and modern data architecture into the mix — we want to hear from you.
