We are looking for a highly skilled Principal Software Engineer to join our client''s engineering team in West Los Angeles, CA. This is a hybrid position, and candidates must either be local to West Los Angeles or willing to relocate and work onsite from Day 1.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader with deep expertise in .NET/C#, Microsoft Azure, distributed systems, and high-volume payment platforms. This role requires someone who can architect scalable solutions, mentor engineering teams, and remain actively involved in software development.
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with .NET/C#
- 2+ years of technical leadership experience while continuing to write production code
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including AKS, Azure Service Bus, Azure DevOps, and Azure App Services
- Experience developing high-volume payment processing or financial services applications
- Strong expertise in distributed systems, messaging, and asynchronous processing using Kafka, Azure Service Bus, MQ, and multithreading
- Proven experience designing and implementing test automation frameworks and integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with observability, monitoring, alerting, and incident response using Datadog or equivalent platforms
- Practical experience implementing AI-powered features, automation, or developer productivity solutions with the ability to explain real-world use cases
- Strong understanding of software architecture, cloud-native applications, scalability, and system design
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
