Summary

The Scrum Master will support Air Force Life Cycle Management Center customer Wright Patterson AFB, OH. The customer Program Office provides planning and acquisition of cost-effective, long-term critical U.S. Air Force capabilities in an Integrated Product Team structure. The candidate will work side by side with customers and other contractors in the Program Office. Working with the customer, the candidate will also interface with major defense contractors who supply critical defense capabilities. The majority of the work will be performed in the customer workspace. Some travel is expected. Up to 20%.

Responsibilities:
Execute Scrum ceremonies and ensure adherence to Agile principles throughout the product lifecycle.
Guide teams in Agile and SAFe methodologies, reinforcing team norms, supporting team commitments, and facilitating progress toward sprint and PI objectives.
Lead and facilitate Agile ceremonies including daily stand ups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and user demonstrations.
Identify, track, and remove impediments that block team progress, escalating when necessary to maintain delivery momentum.
Promote Agile quality practices, continuous improvement, and a culture of transparency, collaboration, and accountability.
Support ROM (Rough Order of Magnitude) and estimation activities, helping teams size work and forecast delivery.
Provide coaching, feedback, and actionable guidance to team members to improve Agile maturity and delivery performance.
Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure backlogs are well defined, prioritized, and aligned with mission needs.
Advise government stakeholders on incremental improvements that enhance product quality, service delivery, and process standardization.
Foster alignment across distributed teams, architects, developers, testers, and security personnel to support integrated DevSecOps workflows.
Monitor team performance metrics (velocity, throughput, predictability) and use data to drive continuous improvement.
Ensure team practices align with SAFe, Lean Agile principles, and organizational governance expectations.
Support PI Planning preparation, facilitation, and execution.
Coordinate with Release Train Engineers (RTEs) to ensure cross team dependencies and risks are visible and managed.

Required qualifications:
10 years acquisition experience
Experience working DoD acquisition programs.
Have experience working on classified and/or special access programs.
Be a self-starter, thrive in a dynamic environment, can accomplish high-level tasks independently, is skilled in problem definition, and work well with other team members, members of the Senior Executive Service and senior military officers.
Current SAFe Scrum Master / SAFe Advanced Scrum Master Certification
Experience supporting federal systems, ATO processes, or compliance frameworks
Familiarity with FedRAMP, NIST 800 53, or Zero Trust principles
Experience working with DevSecOps teams or CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with Agile tooling such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Rally.
Knowledge of Agile metrics, flow based delivery, and continuous improvement techniques.

Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or business (if Business, must have at least 3 years of experience working on DoD contracts/programs having a heavy focus on engineering.
Master's degree; Business, Project Management; Engineering, or other military studies related field (Desired)
Project management certifications (e.g., DAU, PMP, Agile, or similar) (Desired).

Clearance Requirements:
Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI and SAP eligibility.
