Job Overview

Weatherford is seeking a skilled and experienced Field Engineer - Production Automation to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance across our operations. You will work closely with our field teams, providing guidance and oversight to ensure that all activities are carried out ethically and in accordance with company policies, industry regulations, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the deployment, operation, testing, and maintenance of Weatherford tools and equipment.
  • Support field service jobs at customer locations and well sites.
  • Conduct equipment inspections and basic troubleshooting.
  • Collect operational data and prepare accurate field reports.
  • Assist in job planning, mobilization, rig-up, rig-down, and equipment preparation.
  • Monitor equipment performance and communicate operational issues to supervisors.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • An engineering degree is required, in a related area of study (Petroleum, mechanical, etc)
  • 0 - 2 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry
  • Solid understanding of mechanics, electricity, electronics, pneumatics, and hydraulics
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide leadership when required
  • Physically capable of performing the duties of the role
  • Proficient in computer applications and data analysis
  • Industry-recognized certifications in relevant fields are an advantage
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and training

Travel Requirement:
  • This role may require domestic and potentially international travel of up to: <10%
