Quality Assurance Associate

ApTask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Quality Assurance Associate with a biotechnology company. This is an on-site position for a 6+ month contract located in Holly Springs, NC.

Summary:
This role will support the inspection, sampling, and testing of raw materials received at a Major Biopharmaceutical Company site. The ideal candidate will ensure that raw materials for use in cGMP manufacturing plants meet all specification requirements and master inspections characteristics. This position will also demonstrate leadership skills in support of scheduling, coordination, and staff training.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect materials including biobags, tubing, filters, and other components to ensure all specification requirements are met
• Remove samples from containers of medias and other chemicals to facilitate testing
• Use RAMAN technology with TruScan equipment to identify chemicals
• Ensure that inspection and sampling results are complete and detailed according to written procedures and cGMP requirements
• Accurately document inspection, sample, and test results in company systems
• Assess characteristics that could potentially impact product quality according to procedures
• Support inspection readiness activities and Continual Improvement initiatives
• Assist area management with the prioritization and scheduling of tasks
• Serve as a trainer in tasks associated with raw material inspections, samples, and testing
• Own controlled documents for the area including SOPs and FORMs
• Initiate and own deviation records and CAPAs
• Provide QA oversight to the Warehouse and ensure adherence to GMP regulations

Requirements:

• High school/GED and 2+ years of work experience, OR an Associate's degree and 6+ months of work experience, OR a Bachelor's degree
• 4 - 5 years of industry experience
• Experience with QA and GMP regulations
• Experience with Raman technology
• Ability to lift 125 - 150 lbs
• Must be a local candidate to Holly Springs, NC

Pay range: up to $30.15 per hour
