Balyasny Asset Management (BAM) is a global, multi-strategy investment Firm with over $27 billion in assets under management. We are a diversified business, with global breadth and depth. As a C# Engineer on our Account Technology team, you will be responsible for playing a key role in designing, testing, deploying, and maintaining the firm's critical back office systems. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge .NET technologies, focusing on distributed systems, high-volume processing, and AWS serverless technologies.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Innovate and Enhance: Design and improve multithreaded, 3-tier back-office systems.
Decision Making: Make independent decisions while effectively mitigating risks.
Ownership Mentality: Take full ownership of all aspects of our trade accounting systems.
Fast-Paced Environment: Thrive in a fast-paced setting, balancing second-line support with strategic development responsibilities.
Global Collaboration: Work closely with engineers in the UK, US, and Hong Kong to deliver robust solutions.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Experience: 7+ years of hands-on experience in a formal enterprise-level development environment, particularly with C#.
Technical Skills:
o Strong expertise in C#, .NET Core, multi-threaded programming, and object-oriented design.
o Proven experience in building connected, service-oriented applications.
o Familiarity with enterprise messaging systems(Kafka/Solace).
o Experience with Database Systems (Microsoft SQL/Postgres/ Snowflake)
o Experience with Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, etc)
o Experience with distributed caching like Redis.
o Experience with Event Driven architecture.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly to various audiences.
DevOps Knowledge: Experience with JIRA, Git, Jenkins, and Octopus Deploy.
