IT Agile Project Manager / Scrum Master
is going through exciting journey of cloud transformation. We are looking for experienced Agile project managers/practitioners who can help Hertz cross-functional teams with the transformation journey.
This is a hybrid role that also requires strong Scrum Master and Project Management experience. Lead technology teams and stakeholders in CHEF best practices, Agile SAFe, Scrum delivery practice. When assigned to Agile projects using the SCRUM methodology, the Scrum Master is a servant-leader for the Scrum Team. The Scrum Master will effectively and efficiently manage the delivery sprints from planning to execution to review in an agile development environment. The responsibilities of the role will include running daily scrums, collaborating with the product owner, collaborating on requirement documentation, managing tickets and unblocking barriers to keep the team moving. You will be responsible to communicate and collaborate primarily with the engineering & development teams, product owners, project management office (PMO) and senior leadership teams. The ideal candidate will be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams, demonstrate strong leadership abilities and have impeccable communication skills. Manages work stress effectively and is professional.
This role is the primary "face" of a project. Successful candidates conduct their work with high levels of professionalism, quality, diligence, adaptability. The winning candidate will be skilled in agile practices, motivated, passionate, committed, and a fast learner, self-starter, able to drive work, while at the same time being adaptable, coachable, and open to new approaches to lead technology projects.
Job Contributions-
- Lead SAFe Program Increment planning for team Help define work and plan execution
- Facilitate daily grooming, stand-up, sprint planning, sprint review, and sprint retrospective
- Manage the development releases and facilitates sprint releases
- Guides team in time estimating practices and facilitates team estimates
- Holds team accountable for JIRA tool usage, documentation
- Interacts with other Scrum Masters and project managers to ensure inter-team dependencies are addressed
- Drive team iteration execution, communicates with leadership and stakeholders, protects the team from uncontrolled injection of work (changes are evaluated/intentional)
- Maintain and publishes team data and metrics in JIRA to support estimates and execution (release burn up, velocity metrics, sprint burn down etc.).
- Manage project conflicts, challenges and dynamic business requirements to keep operations
- Work with the team leads to resolve people problems and project roadblocks
- Implement and support principles, rules, and processes
- Proactively identify and eliminate impediments and facilitate flow
- Work with PMO team to enforce CHEF process
- Help define milestones, deliverables, for PMO and leadership reporting
- Manage and report risks, issues, dependencies
- Create and manage projects with strong stakeholder alignment and buy-in re: strategy, scope, and timeline
- Deliver solutions via projects that are on time, on budget, and in scope
- Drive close project collaboration across business, technology, and third-party teams, vendors
- Create project plans, socialize them with stakeholders, and keep them up-to-date and available on file share
- Superior & demonstrated team building & development skills to harness powerful teams
- Ability to communicate effectively with different levels of leadership within the organization
- Provide timely updates so that progress against each individual incident can be updated as required
- Presents high level project readouts for senior management
- Facilitates effective mediation of team conflicts.
- Lead and direct technology solutions through all phases of the project.
- Ability to bring methodology to chaos, nimble with changing requirement.
- Focus on outcome manage scope, schedule, and reporting.
- Focus on planning and execution. Execute work and outcome to planned schedule.
- Proactively mitigate risk and solve problems.
- Resilient to taking feedback and incorporate learnings to upcoming work.
- Where required help establish new processes and document the process in confluence.
- Ability to plan and act with minimal direction.
- Ability to effectively manage work stress in fast-paced environment.

- Take initiative to reach out to cross-functional team and help manage dependencies.
- Leads team effort in relentless improvement, define and implement improvement stories to increase the velocity and quality of the program
Experience and Qualifications
- 12 years of PM experience using Agile and waterfall methodologies.
- Experience working with JIRA, Confluence
- Experience with SAFe Program Increment planning for team
- Demonstrates experience in managing projects of various sizes, complexity and types (e.g., application development, outsources services, vendor implementation).
- Can execute Software Development Methodology and techniques as developed and governed by our internal Project Management office.
- Experience performing the Scrum Master role for a software development, AWS Infrastructure, or IT services team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience creating project schedules, milestones
- Experience working with geographically distributed team members
- Flexibility in scheduling which may include nights, weekends
- Advanced Excel skills
- CSM or equivalent agile certification
- PMP certification is a plus.
- Technology transformation program experience is plus.
- AWS knowledge and cloud experience is a plus.
