Project Description: The Stratus platform exists to provide internal customers the ability to deploy their application code to the Cloud and Data Center. We regularly need to modify our platform to provide the business with new features and there is a strong need to keep our systems updated and modernized.
Position Summary/Job Description:
We are looking for a Software Engineer to help plan and execute major platform features and capabilities.
In this role you will be responsible for planning and executing coarse grained features and capabilities.
A strong candidate will be skilled at breaking down large problems and defining acceptance criteria for work and will require minimal oversight or direction.

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years relevant experience with a bachelor s degree OR equivalent relevant professional experience
- 5+ years of application development experience
- 3+ years of full stack application development experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with Ruby or another object-oriented programming language
- 2+ years of experience with Github Actions
- Experience with Cloud Infrastructure or Platform Operations
- Experience with AWS Administration
- Experience using AI tools such as Copilot for software development
What are some preferred/nice to have skills the manager is looking for?
We are looking for a skilled engineer who would ideally have some additional familiarity with Dev Ops technologies and even experience with AWS EKS and Argo CD. We are interested in finding a candidate that can coach and teach other junior engineers on the team. We would like this candidate to have strong leadership and communication skills as well.
Interview Process Overview: There will be two rounds in this interview process. The first round will be a screening with the hiring manager. The second round will be a technical interview with engineers from the team.
