Overview

Senior Epic-certified Willow Inpatient (Willow IP) and Beacon Oncology Analyst responsible for Epic pharmacy application design, configuration, optimization, implementation, and support. Partners with pharmacy, oncology, clinical, and IT stakeholders to improve medication management workflows and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as SME for Epic Willow Inpatient and Beacon functionality, workflows, and configuration.
  • Lead hands-on design, build, testing, implementation, optimization, and support.
  • Perform Order Set, Treatment Plan, and Therapy Plan build and maintenance.
  • Lead requirements-gathering and workflow-design sessions with clinicians, pharmacists, providers, and leadership.
  • Translate clinical and operational requirements into effective Epic solutions.
  • Configure and optimize Willow IP settings, medication records, dictionaries, verification workflows, dispensing, pharmacy queues, CDS, and medication administration workflows.
  • Develop requirements, workflow documentation, build specifications, test plans, and implementation materials.
  • Coordinate dependencies with other Epic applications and teams.
  • Lead or participate in unit, integrated, regression, and end-user testing.
  • Support go-live, cutover, stabilization, and post-production activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while meeting SLAs.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities for workflow and medication-safety improvements.

Required Qualifications

  • PharmD or equivalent pharmacy degree with an active license in good standing.
  • Current Epic Willow Inpatient (Willow IP) and Beacon Oncology certifications.
  • 5+ years of Epic application experience, including significant Willow IP and Beacon experience.
  • 5+ years supporting production Epic environments, optimization, and operational maintenance.
  • Hands-on experience with Order Set, Treatment Plan, and Therapy Plan build, configuration, testing, and maintenance.
  • Strong inpatient pharmacy and medication-management workflow knowledge.
  • Proven experience leading requirements and workflow sessions with clinical and executive stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a consulting environment.
  • Willingness to travel for client engagements, implementations, and go-lives as required.
