📍 Process Control Engineer

Lorain, OH

🔧 Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, maintain, and enhance industrial process control hardware and software solutions.
Support production hardware, software applications, SCADA systems, HMI applications, and LAN communications.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into efficient process control solutions.
Optimize plant automation systems to improve reliability, productivity, and operational efficiency.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, instrumentation, and control system issues.
Provide technical support in a 24x7 industrial manufacturing environment.
Collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and IT teams to deliver innovative automation solutions.
Evaluate short- and long-term hardware, software, equipment, and instrumentation needs while recommending cost-effective solutions.
Prepare technical documentation and communicate effectively with stakeholders across all organizational levels.

✅ Required Skills

5+ years of experience in Process Control Engineering or Industrial Automation.
Strong experience with SCADA systems and HMI (Human Machine Interface) applications.
Knowledge of industrial process control hardware, software, and instrumentation.
Experience supporting manufacturing or heavy industrial production environments.
Understanding of industrial networking and LAN communications.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

⭐ Preferred Qualifications

Experience with PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar platforms).
Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (EtherNet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, OPC, etc.).
Experience with process optimization and control system upgrades.
Familiarity with manufacturing execution systems (MES) and industrial cybersecurity is a plus.
