Role: AliCloud/AWS DevOps Engineer
Location: Sunnyvale, CA (Hybrid - 3 Days On-site)
Compensation: $60.61/hr (W2)
Duration: 6 Months
Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer (6–8 years) with a specialized focus on AliCloud and AWS to design and implement robust infrastructure solutions. This role requires a heavy emphasis on Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD automation, and the deployment of complex data streams and databases (Kafka, Kubernetes, Aurora).
Key Responsibilities
* Cloud Infrastructure: Design and implement scalable solutions on AWS and AliCloud using Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, and Chef.
* CI/CD & Automation: Build automated pipelines using Jenkins and Git, embedding security and quality testing into every stage of the deployment.
* Service Deployment: Manage and deploy cloud-native services including EC2, Aurora, Redis, Elasticsearch, and Kubernetes (EKS/ACK).
* Data & Messaging: Handle complex data structures and messaging flows using Kafka, Cassandra, and DynamoDB, including ETL process optimization.
* Security & Networking: Implement secure cloud networking protocols, including TLS/SSL, encryption, and KMS (Key Management Service).
* Optimization: Utilize Python and Bash scripting to automate operational tasks, focusing on performance tuning and cloud cost-efficiency.
Required Qualifications
* 6–8 years of professional DevOps experience.
* Dual-Cloud Expertise: Minimum 3 years specifically designing for AWS and AliCloud.
* IaC Mastery: Advanced skills in Terraform and Ansible/Chef.
* Data Proficiency: Strong understanding of SQL, data models, and ETL flows.
* Security Mindset: Proven experience with secure cloud delivery and data store encryption.
* Agile Excellence: Strong teamwork skills within an Agile software engineering framework.
