Summary

How you will contribute to our National Security and Defense Mission:

As an MC-130J Integration Engineer for MTSI, you will provide senior level integration support to the USSOCOM PEO-FW MC-130J Integration Program Manager and Lead Platform System Engineer through test, development, and program management activities. These duties will require you to acquire technical knowledge of all key MC-130J systems/software to include Radio Frequency Countermeasures, Airborne Mission Networking, Special Missions Systems, MC-130J Terrain Following, and the Open Mission System. You will interact daily with stakeholders across multiple program offices and associated vendors of the Combat Talon III Enterprise with direct oversight by the PEO-FW MC-130J Material Lead. This position will be in the Eglin AFB, FL area.

Responsibilities:

Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:
  • Provide engineering integration oversight and problem solving across the MC-130J Combat Talon III enterprise
  • Build strong relationships with all MC-130J stakeholders by connecting developers, integrators and developmental testers
  • Facilitate and participate in key engineering integration meetings
  • Team Lead Meetings
  • Material Improvement Program Review Boards
  • Crew Station Working Groups
  • Lead System Engineer Technical Engagements
  • Facilitate Capability Release Increment Planning and other meetings as part of the Agile Process
  • Act as the Gatekeeper to on-aircraft engineering integration activities
  • Facilitate on-aircraft integration and engineering test build events
  • Knock down administrative and engineering barriers
  • Raise integration issues to technical and programmatic POCs and/or leadership for decision/action
  • Plan and schedule resources to support integration and test
  • Report on status of ongoing integration and test
  • Conduct and support root cause analysis with enterprise stakeholders
  • Exceptional planning and coordinating skills

Qualifications:
  • 10+ years in system integration, test and evaluation, aerospace duties, and/or related technical work
  • Ability to obtain and maintain FAA Class 3 flight physical
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Air Force test and evaluation policies
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • APDP Level I certification (Program Management, Test & Evaluation) or equivalent experience

Education:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or science

Event Better if you have these desired skills:
  • Master of Science degree in engineering or science
  • APDP Level II certification (Program Management, Test & Evaluation)
  • Knowledge of JIRA Software Development Tool
  • Demonstrated planning, coordination and execution skills on AFSOC or similar aircraft platforms
  • Knowledge of installed aircraft systems/subsystems and support equipment
  • Knowledge of avionics/mission systems, munitions systems and comm/radar systems
  • Knowledge of OSD and Air Force T&E policies
  • Experience designing and building test plans, ground and flight test cards, final reports, Test and Evaluation Master Plans

Clearance Requirements:
  • Must possess and active DoD Secret Clearance. A Top Secret (TS) security clearance (with SCI and SAP eligibility) is HIGHLY desired.
