Role Overview
As a Software Engineer, you will be involved in every release, project, and all phases of the SDLC, including Analysis, Technical Design, Development, Testing, and Deployment. This role supervises and develops software to ensure the successful delivery of initiatives for specific applications. You will be responsible for overseeing parallel initiatives from a software development perspective, ensuring stable and quality deliverables while utilizing in-depth knowledge of technology to recommend innovations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, test, support, maintain, and debug software applications that support business units or support functions.
- Provide strategic technical direction and system architecture for individual initiatives.
- Collaborate with business lines and architects to provide implementation solutions for software applications.
- Create prototypes to validate design concepts.
- Prepare UML diagrams to describe the application's current and future state.
- Coordinate with external programming teams to deliver software on time and within budget.
- Provide feedback and technical guidance to project managers on critical issues to achieve business objectives.
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills:- Experience with GenAI tools, with the ability to deliver a significant portion of deliverables using them.
- Proficiency in developing Microservices using Spring Boot and modern Java versions.
- Experience with containerization tools such as OpenShift or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of at least one RIA Framework such as jQuery, Angular, or React.
- Experience with an ORM/Persistence Framework like iBatis/MyBatis, Hibernate, Kafka, or JPA.
- Familiarity with source control tools like Bitbucket or GitHub.
- Experience with Maven, Test-Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration (CI), JUnit, and Mockito.
- Proficiency with IDEs such as Eclipse or IntelliJ.
- Experience with at least one RDBMS and SQL (e.g., Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server).
- Experience with Agile/Iterative development and the full SDLC.
- Skills in front-end web development with JavaScript, HTML/HTML5, CSS, Ajax, and SASS.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is between $65.00 and $68.26 per hour. A comprehensive benefits package may be available to eligible employees.
