We are seeking Software Engineers with a focus on DevSecOps (Development, Security, and Operations) to support the development and operations of the Lunar Terrain Vehicle (LTV), the next-generation lunar surface mobility system that will enable Artemis astronauts and commercial partners to explore the lunar surface.

Responsibilities

The Lunar Terrain Vehicle - DevSecOps Software Engineer will:
  • Implement and maintain DevSecOps across the LTV program lifecycle
  • Stand up and manage development environments (e.g., Git-based repositories, virtual machines, CI/CD pipelines)
  • Integrate security controls and ensure alignment with cybersecurity standards and best practices
  • Ensure compliance with applicable security frameworks and program requirements
  • Guide engineering teams in adopting DevSecOps tools, workflows, and automation
  • Support software integration within a multi-disciplinary engineering environment
  • Collaborate closely with hardware design and development teams
  • Interface with customers, subsystem owners, and commercial partners
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience/Skills:
  • BS degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or STEM, from an accredited engineering school and five (5) years of related DevSecOps experience
  • Experience with Git-based platforms (e.g., GitLab, GitHub)
  • Strong Linux expertise, including system administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming (e.g., C/C++)
  • Experience working on cross-disciplinary engineering teams
  • Strong communication, coordination, and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with customers and stakeholders

Preferences:
  • Experience with software test and verification
  • Hardware/software integration experience
  • Experience supporting human spaceflight or exploration programs
  • Familiarity with CMMI frameworks
  • Experience with software architecture and system design
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Master's degree in a STEM field
  • Experience with product lifecycle tools (e.g., JIRA, JAMA)

Essential Requirements

  • Must have sufficient mobility to enter areas of test facilities where necessary.

  • Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements when required.
  • Must be able to work in a team atmosphere.
  • Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation.
  • Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
  • This position may require some commuting and traveling to other installations as needed.
