Where is the work:
On-Site (5 days)

As a Test Engineer, you will support testing and validation activities in our HVAC R&D Laboratory for commercial chiller products and heat transfer subsystems. In this role, you will contribute to test execution, facility improvement projects, and the development of lab capabilities in partnership with product engineers and technicians. You will support a variety of Test Engineering functions, including test method development, test planning, instrumentation, data acquisition, automation, and test controls. The ideal candidate enjoys project coordination, hands-on laboratory work, and problem-solving in a team environment.

Core Job Responsibilities (others may be added):
  • Support planning and execution of test projects for commercial HVAC products and components.
  • Conduct heat transfer testing of subsystems, including thermal performance characterization and efficiency evaluation.
  • Develop test procedures, protocols and methods in alignment with engineering standards, product requirements and safety practices.
  • Support test facility capability by helping ensure equipment functionality, reliability and data quality.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of test methodologies, facility upgrades, and operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with product design engineers to troubleshoot issues identified during testing and provide technical input.
  • Stay current on industry trends, advancements, and regulatory changes related to HVAC testing methodologies and standards.
  • Build expertise in advanced data acquisition and test automation systems.
  • Develop subject matter expertise in laboratory testing for the commercial chiller product line.
  • Overnight travel up to 10% as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Applied Sciences is required.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based laboratory environment
  • Experience with laboratory testing, instrumentation or data acquisition systems
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a laboratory setting
