Field Service Technician – Siemens Power Generation

Salary: $130,000-$150,000 + benefits
About the Opportunity
We are hiring a skilled Field Service Technician to support and maintain multiple 2MW Siemens power generation units operating across West Texas. This position is designed for technicians who have direct, hands-on experience with Siemens generator systems and are comfortable working independently in remote and industrial environments.
This role plays a critical part in keeping mission-critical power assets running safely, reliably, and efficiently.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you will:
- Service, inspect, and maintain Siemens generator systems at multiple field locations
- Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control-related issues
- Perform scheduled maintenance, emergency repairs, and system adjustments
- Support startup, testing, and reliability activities when required
- Evaluate system performance and recommend corrective actions
- Maintain accurate service records and technical documentation
- Work closely with operations and engineering teams to maximize uptime
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety and regulatory standards
What We’re Looking For - Proven experience working directly on Siemens power generation equipment
- Background in industrial, utility, oil & gas, or energy-related field service
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability
- Working knowledge of generator systems, electrical components, and controls
- Ability to work independently in remote field settings
- Willingness to travel within the West Texas region
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Background - Experience with Siemens Energy generator platforms
- Exposure to commissioning, startup, or performance testing
- Knowledge of excitation systems, AVR, and paralleling/switchgear systems
- Familiarity with SCADA, PLC, or DCS environments
- OEM training or certifications
