Kubernetes Platform Engineer, Senior
The Opportunity:

Manage, administer, support, and enhance cloud environments, ensuring continuous improvement and rapid problem resolution. Apply advanced consult ing skills or extensive technical expertise , including full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction, and mentor and supervise team members.

You Have:

• 5+ years of experience with Kubernetes architecture, cluster design, and production operations
• Experience with deploying, managing, and upgrading Kubernetes clusters in cloud and hybrid environments
• Experience with containerization technologies and OCI standards
• Experience with infrastructure as code and automation using tools such as Terraform
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows for Kubernetes environments
• Experience with Kubernetes networking, ingress, DNS, and cluster security, including RBAC and secrets management
• Experience with observability, performance tuning, high availability design, and troubleshooting distributed systems
• TS / SCI clearance
• HS diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification within 60 days of hire date

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with Helm, Kustomize, and Kubernetes package management practices
• Experience with service mesh technologies and advanced traffic management
• Experience with multi cluster and multi region Kubernetes deployments
• Experience with cloud provider managed Kubernetes services
• Experience with storage orchestration and CSI driver implementation
• Experience with vulnerability management and container security scanning tools
• Experience with cost optimization and resource efficiency strategies in Kubernetes environments
• Experience with compliance frameworks such as NIST or FedRAMP
• Experience with Linux systems administration in production environments
• Experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python, Bash, or Go

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
