As a Network Administrator, you will join Turnberry's Digital Modernization practice, where technology and strategy combine to deliver exceptional digital experiences, empowering organizations to thrive in today's digital market.
Responsibilities:
Network Design and Implementation
Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance network infrastructure for clients, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks
Collaborate with clients and internal teams to assess network requirements, develop solutions, and implement best practices for network architecture
Network Security
Implement and maintain robust network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access controls, to protect against cyber threats and unauthorized access
Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and remediate security risks
Network Monitoring and Optimization
Monitor network performance, availability, and reliability using industry-leading tools and technologies
Proactively identify and resolve network issues, optimize network configurations, and implement performance enhancements to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency
Leadership and Team Development
Provide technical leadership and guidance to help desk team members, assist with escalated support issues, and facilitate skill development
Mentor junior network administrators and Tier 2 techs, share knowledge, and best practices to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement
Collaborate with management to develop training programs and resources to enhance the technical capabilities of the team
Technical Support and Troubleshooting
Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting assistance to clients and internal teams for complex network-related issues
Serve as a subject matter expert on network technologies, protocols, and standards
Offer guidance and mentorship to junior team members
Documentation and Reporting
Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, topology diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Prepare and present regular reports on network performance, security incidents, and service delivery metrics to clients and management
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in network administration, preferably in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or enterprise environment
Proven expertise in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting complex network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs
Strong knowledge of network security principles and best practices, including encryption, authentication, and access control
Experience with network monitoring and management tools such as SolarWinds or similar
Industry certifications such as Microsoft or equivalent are highly desirable
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and vendors
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced and changing environment
The salary range for this role is $75,000 to $110,000 or the hourly equivalent.
