Lead .NET Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Lead .NET Developer in Chicago, IL.

Overview:
The client is looking for a Senior .NET Developer to join a fast-moving, cross-functional engineering team supporting modern platforms. This role requires a hands-on technical leader with strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to represent engineering in stakeholder discussions.

You will work on scalable backend systems powering pricing and eligibility services, collaborating across mobile, web, and API-driven teams. This is a high-visibility role ideal for someone proactive, articulate, and comfortable influencing technical direction.

Duties Include:
* Design, develop, and maintain backend services using .NET (latest versions)
* Participate in architecture discussions and solution design
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize API consumption
* Drive CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments in AWS environments
* Advocate for automated testing frameworks and reduce manual testing reliance
* Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and business stakeholders

REQUIREMENTS:
* 8+ years of experience in software development with strong expertise in .NET
* Hands-on experience with AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, containerized environments such as AKS)
* Strong understanding of CI/CD, Git, and modern DevOps practices (Azure DevOps, JIRA familiarity a plus)
* Experience with MySQL
* Experience with monitoring tools like Dynatrace
* Excellent communication skills with strong business and stakeholder engagement experience

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
