Genesis10 is currently seeking a Quality Engineer - Automation for a contract to hire opportunity with a Major Financial Institution located in Pittsburgh, PA. This role involves automating areas of retail technology using Artificial Intelligence. The ideal candidate will leverage a strong background in both automation and AI to test backend development and APIs. This position requires critical thinking, using AI as a tool rather than a dependency, within the complex environment of a large financial institution.
Responsibilities: - Automate areas of retail technology using AI
- Test backend development, with a focus on APIs
- Utilize testing tools such as Karate, IQP, and IntelliJ
- Apply critical thinking to control and leverage AI as a tool
- Utilize Copilot for development and testing tasks
Requirements: - Strong automation background
- Strong AI background
- Must have a banking or financial background to understand the innerworkings of a large financial institution
- Ability to understand code (Python and Java) in order to test it effectively
- Ability to think critically and not just rely on AI
Desired skills: - Retail banking experience
- Mainframe experience
Pay range: $43.46 - $51.46 per hour
