Informatica Developer

Location: Jersey City, NJ or Addison, TX (HYBRID - 3 days onsite/2 days remote)

Contract length: 12-18 months

Pay rate: $68/hr W2 Max

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Informatica ETL Developer with experience in Data Warehouse, PL/SQL, and Unix scripting. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing, developing, and optimizing complex ETL solutions using Informatica PowerCenter and supporting enterprise-scale data warehouse environments. This role requires an individual who can work independently, interact with distributed teams, and contribute across the full ETL lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain complex ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter.
  • Create source-to-target mappings and integrate data from diverse sources including relational databases, flat files, Hive, and REST APIs.
  • Develop and optimize PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, and views.
  • Perform performance tuning of ETL workflows, mappings, sessions, databases, and SQL queries.
  • Develop and maintain Unix shell scripts to automate ETL processes.
  • Participate in data analysis, data validation, unit testing, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Work with business and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Provide regular status updates to stakeholders and management.
  • Support code deployments, production issues, and application enhancements.
Required Skills

Technical:
  • Strong experience with Informatica PowerCenter, including developing complex ETL workflows and mappings.
  • Knowledge of Data Warehouse concepts and ETL processes.
  • Advanced PL/SQL programming and experience writing complex SQL queries.
  • Performance tuning experience for Informatica mappings and SQL queries.
  • Strong Unix/Linux commands and shell scripting.
  • Experience with data ingestion and integration from multiple source systems, including REST APIs.


Professional:
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working with geographically distributed teams.
  • Ability to develop test cases and perform unit testing.


Preferred Skills
  • MuleSoft integration experience.
  • Autosys job scheduling.
  • Python programming.
  • Tableau or other reporting experience.
  • Database design and data modeling.
  • Experience with source control tools such as SVN or BitBucket.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools including Jenkins, IBM UDeploy, IBM UBuild, or Ansible.
  • Experience working in large-scale enterprise Data Warehouse environments.
Preferred Candidate Profile
  • 7+ years of Informatica ETL development experience.
  • A background in Data Warehouse projects.
  • Experience with end-to-end data ingestion, transformation, and reporting workflows.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, able to drive deliverables independently.
