About the Role
Our client is a global technology organization specializing in advanced positioning, geospatial, construction, and engineering software solutions used across multiple industries. They are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst to support enterprise business systems, with a primary focus on Salesforce and related platforms. This role partners closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate business strategy into scalable system solutions that improve operational efficiency and user adoption.
The Business Systems Analyst will be responsible for gathering and translating business requirements into functional system capabilities while ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. This position serves as a critical liaison between business teams and technology delivery partners, helping design, implement, test, and support solutions across Salesforce and integrated systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Eliciting, documenting, and managing business requirements, defining scope, and performing map/gap analysis
- Acting as a bridge between business strategy, operational workstreams, and technical delivery teams
- Analyzing user needs and driving continuous improvement in the use of Salesforce and related systems
- Collaborating with business and technical partners to design solutions that adhere to platform standards and industry best practices
- Supporting user adoption through training, documentation, and ongoing support
- Developing test plans and test cases, executing system integration testing, and performing user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Partnering with cross-functional teams, IT resources, and leadership to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions
- Tracking and reporting project status, risks, and milestones using Jira
- Defining agile artifacts including epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Assessing impacts to downstream systems and processes such as invoicing, provisioning, billing, and revenue recognition
- Breaking down complex requirements into an actionable and prioritized backlog
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in business, management, computer science, or a related field
- 5–6 years of experience working with Salesforce implementations and comparable enterprise business systems
- Knowledge of sales and revenue processes including opportunity management, quoting, pricing, contracts, discounts, approvals, order management, billing, and provisioning
- Strong understanding of Salesforce functionality, configuration, and customization capabilities
- Experience gathering requirements, leading stakeholder discussions, and translating business needs into technical solutions
- Proficiency with Jira and agile delivery methodologies
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to large or non-technical audiences
- Experience developing test plans and supporting UAT activities
- Proficiency with Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel
- Experience with CPQ, CLM, ERP systems, and complex product or pricing models
- Understanding of relational databases, system integrations, and ETL tools
- Prior experience training end users or creating user documentation
- Background working in SaaS, technology, engineering, construction, or product-driven organizations
- Familiarity with agile product ownership concepts and backlog management
