CPA
The D365 Finance Consultant / Architect (CPA) will lead the end-to-end implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance across 8 countries (US, UK, Netherlands, India, Singapore, China, Japan, and Australia).
This role is responsible for designing and delivering a global finance template with a shared Chart of Accounts (CoA), while ensuring country-specific compliance, localization, and statutory reporting.
The candidate will act as a trusted advisor to CFOs and Finance leadership, driving global finance transformation, standardization, and scalable ERP architecture across multi-entity, multi-country
operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Global Finance Architecture & Template Design
Define and implement a global template for D365 Finance covering:
- General Ledger, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash & Bank, Budgeting, Project Accounting
- Design and govern a shared global Chart of Accounts (CoA) with:
- Common global structure
- Local legal entity extensions
- Financial dimensions strategy for reporting granularity
- Establish global standards for financial processes, ensuring reusability across all countries
- Multi-Country Implementation Leadership (8 Countries)
Lead rollout of D365 Finance across:
- US, UK, Netherlands, India, Singapore, China, Japan, Australia
- Drive a template-based rollout approach:
- Phase-wise country deployment
- Controlled deviations for localization
- Manage multi-entity, multi-currency, intercompany frameworks
- Localization & Regulatory Compliance
Ensure full support for country-specific requirements:
- US GAAP, 1099 reporting, IRS compliance
- UK VAT, Making Tax Digital (MTD)
- Netherlands EU VAT & reporting compliance
- India GST, TDS/TCS, e-Invoicing
- Singapore GST compliance
- China Golden Tax, regulatory constraints, local hosting considerations
- Japan JGAAP, consumption tax
- Australia BAS, GST reporting
- Balance global standardization vs. local statutory needs
- Accounting & Governance (CPA Core)
Define and govern:
- Chart of Accounts (CoA) structure and usage
- Financial dimensions and account structures
- Consolidation and group reporting models
- Ensure compliance with:
- US GAAP, IFRS, and local regulations
- Audit readiness, SoX controls, internal governance
- Design intercompany accounting and consolidation frameworks
- Implementation & Delivery Oversight
Lead end-to-end D365 Finance implementations:
- Fit-gap analysis, configuration, testing, UAT, go-live
- Define and execute:
- Data migration strategy (CoA, master data, transactional data)
- Cutover planning and reconciliation
- Oversee multi-country rollout governance and timelines
- Integration & Data Architecture
Define integration strategy with:
- Banking systems, treasury platforms
- Tax engines and regulatory systems
- Procurement and external financial systems
- Establish enterprise financial data model and reporting framework
- Enable CFO-level insights using Power BI and analytics
- Reporting & Financial Insights
Design global and local reporting structures:
- Financial statements, statutory reports, consolidation reports
- Enable:
- Real-time visibility into financial performance
- Forecasting and variance analysis
- Stakeholder & Consulting Leadership
Partner with:
- CFOs, Controllers, Finance Directors
- Lead:
- Steering committees, executive reviews, design authority forums
- Support:
- Pre-sales, RFPs, demos, global solution positioning
- Governance & Best Practices
Ensure adherence to:
- Microsoft best practices (minimize customizations)
- Standardized deployment model
- Define:
- Security roles, segregation of duties (SoD)
- Audit and compliance frameworks
Required Experience (12 18 Years)
- 12 18 years in ERP / Finance Consulting
- 8 10+ years in Dynamics AX / D365 Finance
- Minimum 3 5 end-to-end D365 Finance implementations
- Proven experience in:
- Global rollouts across multiple countries
- Shared CoA and template-based implementations
- Multi-currency, multi-entity environments
- Strong exposure to:
- Global delivery models (US, Europe, APAC, India)
