Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Google Cloud Platform Data/Cloud Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Google Cloud Platform services. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in building, deploying, and managing data pipelines and cloud-native applications, along with strong Python and SQL skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
- Work extensively with BigQuery for data warehousing, analytics, and optimization.
- Manage and optimize data storage using Google Cloud Storage (GCS).
- Develop and deploy serverless solutions using Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, and/or Cloud Composer.
- Implement event-driven architectures using Pub/Sub.
- Write efficient and maintainable code using Python and SQL.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and version control using GitHub and DevOps best practices.
- Configure and manage Service Accounts, IAM roles, and Secrets Manager for secure access control.
- Build and manage data transformations using dbt (Data Build Tool).
- Collaborate with business and low-code teams leveraging Power Apps for data-driven solutions.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability of cloud systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 10+ years of overall IT experience.
- 3–4 years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
- Strong experience with BigQuery, GCS, Cloud Run/Cloud Composer, Cloud Functions, and Pub/Sub.
- Proficiency in Python programming and SQL.
- Experience with GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Hands-on experience with Service Accounts, IAM, and Secrets Manager.
- Strong experience using dbt for data modeling and transformations.
- Exposure to or experience with PowerApps is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Nice to Have:
- Google Cloud Platform certifications (Associate or Professional level).
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and performance tuning in Google Cloud Platform.
